Notable Artists showcase work at Phoenix studio

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Much of the Phoenix art scene is centered around the Downtown and Roosevelt areas but seven local artists aim to change all that by hosting an exhibition at their “destination” gallery, Eleven Street Studios. In a city where gallery spaces tend to be spread out, Eleven Street Studios offers an astonishing level of professional talent under one roof. Art lovers will be able to see paintings, sculpture and photography from a variety of artists all in the same space.

The theme of the show is a “Silver Lining,” referring to the artists’ outlook on the current economic and artistic climate. The artists will include Patricia Beatty, Painter; Sylvia Hardt, Photographer; Jason Savaglio, Painter; Rafael Navarro, Painter, Sculptor, Printer and Ceramacist; Danielle Hacche, Painter; Susan Rae Westover, Bronze Sculptor; and Brian Boner, Painter, who was recently featured on the New Times list of Top 100 Influential Artists.

“I am so excited to be part of such an amazing group of artists,” said Patricia Beatty. “It is truly a privilege to create for a living. We all feel that Eleven Street Studios is a hidden gem and we look forward to sharing our space and our passion with the art lovers of Phoenix.”

Enhancing the art that is housed within the building is the artistic nature of the building itself. Natives will remember it as the historic Thrift Store—a Phoenix institution back in the 60s and 70s. Today the classic structure is entirely dedicated to the pursuit of the arts—both visual and audible.
